In Defense of Food
Journalist Michael Pollan has a new book, In Defense of Food.
Pollan’s previous book, the Omnivore’s Dilema, a highly enjoyable and insightful look of the U.S. food system and the philosophy of how we eat. The book moved me to believe in a higher standing for food writing and new journalism. So I can’t wait ot read this new book.

I too enjoyed the writing and subject matter of “Omnivore’s Dilemma.” I’ve got “In Defense of Food” on reserve at the library, and I’m looking forward to reading it. I appreciated Slate’s real-life view of food and cooking as compared to sanctified food temple of the Pollan household.
BTW, Pollan is the brother-in-law of Michael J. Fox. Pollan’s sister, Tracy, is Fox’s wife.
